Sts. Perpetua and Felicity

Sts. Perpetua and Felicity were two brave women of the third century AD who were martyred for their Christian faith. They are usually remembered together and stained glass windows showing these two saints sometimes depict the scene of their martyrdom in the arena, thrown to beasts such as lions, bears and wild boar. Perpetua was a noblewoman nursing a young baby, and Felicity, her slave, was pregnant. They died in Carthage at the hands of the Romans. Their devotion and commitment to remain true to God, despite imprisonment, persecution and even death serves as a continuing inspiration to many. Their feast day is commemorated on March 7th, and they are the patron saints of mothers and expectant mothers. If you would like a stained glass window or door panel to honor Sts. Perpetua and Felicity in your church or prayer room, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in your choice.
