St Rosalia
St. Rosalia was born into a noble Italian family descended from Charlemagne. Her father was Sinibald, Lord of Roses. Rosalia was devoutly religious and according to tradition she was led by two angels to a cave on the mountainside where she retired to live the rest of her life as a hermit. On the walls of the cave she scratched her declaration to live there for the love of her Lord Jesus Christ. Stained glass and other art show her as a young woman, sometimes holding a cross or a chisel and hammer with which she carved her dedication. She is also seen wearing a crown of roses, with angels attending and sometimes looking through a cave opening with a view of her hometown Palermo stretching below. Her feast day is September 4th and she is the patron saint of Palermo, Italy. If you would like a stained glass window of door panel of St. Rosalia, we would be happy to help you.
