St. Paul

St. Paul is undoubtedly a striking figure, an apostle who was dramatically converted to Christianity on the Damascus Road. Originally known as Saul of Tarsus, St. Paul holds a prominent pose in works of art and stained glass. Indeed in the USA alone there are almost 550 catholic Churches named after St. Paul. He is famous for his missionary journeys and for the 14 canonical epistles which he wrote. His travels and adventures included many perils, shipwrecks, beatings and imprisonments. Finally he was imprisoned in Rome, where he was eventually beheaded in 67 AD. Throughout his writings, his great fatherly love for the churches is evident, revealing his greatness of mind and spirit which continues to influence the church for good. He is the patron saint of missions, theologians and Gentile Christians, and his feast day is June 29th. If you wish to be the proud owner of a stained glass work of art depicting St. Paul, we would be glad to be of assistance to you in designing and creating the perfect item.
