He presents bread to the disciples, telling them: “This is My body.” About the wine that is drunk during the meal, He says, “This is my blood.” Then, He speaks the words still honored by the faithful today every time they take a host or a sip of wine from a chalice during mass: “Do this in memory of Me.”
