St. Anastasia
St. Anastasia is venerated as a healer, exorcist, and Christian martyr of the third century AD and her relics lie in the Cathedral of St. Anastasia in Croatia. According to legend, she was a pupil of St. Chrysogonus and was martyred during the persecutions of Diocletian. She has the unique distinction of having her feast day on Christmas Day, December 25th. Her symbols are a palm branch, bowl of fire, martyrs cross and a medicine pot. One or more of these are usually seen in stained glass art works of St. Anastasia. She is the patron saint of martyrs, weavers, widows and those suffering from poison. St. Anastasia is one of only seven women who are commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass. There are at least ten churches in America named after St. Anastasia. Are you looking for a beautiful stained glass window or door panel of St. Anastasia for your church hallway or prayer chapel?
