St. Aaron Stained Glass

St. Aaron is also known as St. Aihran of Aleth. He was a Welshman who lived in the sixth century AD. He settled on a small island near Aleth, off the coast of Brittany, France. He lived as a hermit and monk at the monastery. While there he attracted many visitors, and in 544 AD he became the abbot. One of his followers was St. Malo, who succeeded St. Aaron after his death, and went on to become the first Bishop of Aleth. St. Aarons feast day is June 21st, and he is the patron saint of those who live a passionate and steadfast life.
